Members who have the Save & Spend Duo Checking and Savings accounts are automatically enrolled in the Debit Roundup feature. Once daily, Royal will round up each of your posted debit card transactions to the nearest whole dollar amount and transfer the difference from your Duo Checking account to your Duo Savings account. The amount and frequency of the Roundup are not customizable.
For example, if you used your Royal debit card to purchase coffee for $4.35, the transaction would be rounded up to $5.00, with a roundup amount of $0.65. If you also purchased gas for $46.83, the transaction would be rounded up to $47.00, with a roundup amount of $0.17. If these transactions happened on the same day, a total of $0.82 would be transferred to your Save and Spend Duo Savings.
Pending transactions will not be rounded up. When a pending transaction posts to the account, it will round up that day.
